'WHAT IF YOU WERE ABORTED??'

The title is a question I frequently see pro-lifers asking their opponents.

My answer to this question is: _{if I was aborted I wouldn’t be around to feel anything} “If my birth would’ve harmed or killed my mother, filled her with regret or emotional distress, or financially damaged her, then I would have rather been aborted.”

My reason behind that answer is this belief: every child should be loved and wanted. They should be given the chance to have parents that love them dearly, instead of being seen through the lens of “this child is a mistake”, or “this child is a reminder of being raped”, or “this child is financially sucking me dry”. Even worse is when the child doesn’t even get a chance to have parents and is instead thoughtlessly dumped off into the foster care system.

I think that bringing a child into an environment where they’re going to be regretted, mistreated, or abandoned is far crueler than simply aborting them.

I have loving and caring parents, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. If I had been a child that was simply a reminder of mistakes or pain, or a creator of suffering and bitterness, then I would rather have not been brought into this world at all. Simple as that.

However, I recognize that I can't speak for every child that might be aborted, and that many people are grateful to be born. This stamp simply states my answer to that common pro-life question.
